Tesla develops headphones?Audio trademark application discovered

Or the theory of a megaphone.

It was discovered in a trademark application by Tesla that Elon Musk may be preparing headphones this time. According to the application documents, it seems that the coverage of the "TESLA" and "T" logos will be expanded to various audio products, and the following are specifically listed as audio.

Are Tesla brand headphones coming?

In this case, Electrek was the first discoverer, but it seems that the application was made on January 10. The current status is still pending and it is not yet known if it will be accepted.

I don't know what Tesla is aiming for, but if the trademark is granted, there are many things they can do. The Tesla brand in-vehicle speaker system is easy to understand, but there is also the possibility of expanding into audio appliances with headphones, earphones, and speakers that can be used regardless of the car. It may be made a megaphone because it is as much as it is in the application document. However, it is a common story to acquire only the trademark right and not actually use it.

That said, Tesla has always launched a flamethrower called "not a flamethrower," or more practically, surfboards, tequila, and mobile batteries.

Sound engineer already secured

Acting as soon as he thinks of good or bad, Musk has released his EDM single and has always shaped his interest in music. He seems to have the talent to make competing products from Bose and Apple, even for Tesla. Tesla's speaker system, especially the Model S's 22 speakers, is highly regarded, and Musk said the sound quality was created by audio engineers from Bang & Olfsen.

As Electrek points out, Tesla's audio development leader Markus Koch previously worked for in-vehicle audio and consumer products such as Harman and Bang & Orfsen. Tesla also recently pulled out engineers from Amazon Lab126 and Jawbone, which make Amazon Echo.

However, it seems that such selected engineers have made only joke functions such as making Tesla's external speaker a boom box and then changing the sound of the horn to a flatulence or a goat's bark. So, if Tesla makes a decent audio product, their sound engineers may finally find the meaning of the transfer.

I think it will sell

No matter what Tesla makes, one thing is certain that it will sell well. Just as Apple's gadget cleaning cloths sell well, most Tesla brands sell. So it's no surprise that Tesla teams up with other audio makers to tune the sound quality that way, put the Tesla logo on the earcups, and sell it for a high price.

But now that Musk's Neuralink is developing a way to send music directly to his brain, he may no longer need to buy headphones.
